Join us for this breakfast presentation following the Australian Budget 2016 announcement on 3 May. Hear about the key implications for local and global businesses from Australian Treasury’s UK representative, Sam Reinhardt, and global tax specialists, John Marcarian and Brad Murphy.
Held in the Downer Room at Australia House, there will be networking over a light breakfast from 8.00am, followed by presentations and discussion from 8.30am to 9.30am and further networking until 10.00am.
Sam Reinhardt, Minister-Counsellor (Economic), Australian Treasury
Sam is the Australian Treasury’s representative to Europe. Sam has worked in a number of areas across Treasury including as the Executive Member of the Foreign Investment Review Board, on the secretariat to the Henry Tax Review; on Commonwealth-State relations and on macroeconomic policy issues. Sam also served as former Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s Senior Economic Adviser. She holds a Master in International and Development Economics and a Bachelor of Economics and Arts from the Australian National University.
John Marcarian, Founder, CST Tax Advisors
With over 25 years’ experience, John is a specialist in global private client tax and international business expansion. In 1992 John established CST Tax Advisors and since then has developed extensive experience dealing with global expatriates and business entrepreneurs. He has presented tax seminars for numerous professional bodies worldwide and has published numerous articles and two books. John is a member of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in Singapore and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the International Tax Planning Association.
Brad Murphy, Director, CST Tax Advisors
Brad has extensive international corporate tax experience gained from working at both Big 4 accounting firms and multinational corporations, Qantas and Lend Lease. He has significant experience in providing international tax advice to Australian and foreign corporations and high-net-worth individuals in relation to Australian tax issues and expanding or relocating overseas. Brad’s specialist areas of expertise include tax efficient structuring, cross-border financing, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions and relocation advice.
